Welcome to Christmas Online!

“Christmas, Christmas, Time is here.” (Alvin and the Chipmunks, 1958)

Okay, maybe it isn’t here yet but we all love to be reminded about it. I mean, why else do stores display the countdown, “x number of days until Christmas.” It’s to be helpful and remind us that in only a few short days we will be celebrating, giving and above everything else, cheerful(ing), right?

Well, I’m sure that there is probably some nefarious plan involved when it comes to the stores listing the countdown for Christmas but that’s okay. I will forgive them this time and simply enjoy everything else about Christmas. Remember, the meaning of Christmas isn’t about the stores anyways.

It’s actually about the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and it has become a celebration of not only that holy night but also of family. It is about a renewal of faith, a reminder of family and a time to remember those in need.

Grinch Is Early This Year

It never feels like Christmas time until my favorite holiday show is on television. That show, “How The Grinch Stole Christmas”, has been my favorite since I was old enough to read. (Dr. Seuss: brilliant–possibly high on drugs all the time, but brilliant!) The 1966 original (which is the only Grinch which I will acknowledge) is [...]
